तपस्वी कोपनो वित्रो दुर्वासा नाम मे पितु: । भिक्षामुपागतो भोक्तुं तमहं पर्यतोषयम्‌

Transliteration

tapasvī kopano vitro durvāsā nāma me pituḥ | bhikṣām upāgato bhoktuṃ tam ahaṃ paryatoṣayam ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: “Havia um asceta austero, pronto à ira, chamado Durvāsā — ligado à linhagem de meu pai. Veio pedir esmolas para sua refeição, e eu o satisfiz com a devida hospitalidade.”
