तानाचख्यौ तदा सूत: सर्वास्तानभिनामतः । संजयो द्रौपदी चैव सर्वाश्चान्या: कुरुस्त्रिय:,उनके इस प्रकार पूछनेपर सूत संजयने उन सबके नाम बताकर पाण्डवों, द्रौपदी तथा कुरुकुलकी अन्य स्त्रियोंका इस प्रकार परिचय दिया
tān ācakhyau tadā sūtaḥ sarvāṁs tān abhināmataḥ | sañjayo draupadī caiva sarvāś cānyāḥ kurustriyaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Então o cocheiro (Sūta) Sañjaya, respondendo à pergunta deles, identificou cada um pelo nome—Sañjaya, Draupadī e todas as outras mulheres da linhagem dos Kuru—apresentando-os com clareza.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic communication: speaking truthfully and respectfully by naming and properly identifying people, especially in sensitive circumstances. Correct recognition of persons and lineage is treated as part of social and ethical order.
After being questioned, Sañjaya (described as a sūta/charioteer) introduces those present by name—explicitly mentioning Draupadī and the other Kuru women—so the inquirers understand who they are.
