अौर्ध्वदेहिक-श्राद्धे दानयज्ञविस्तारः | Expansion of the Aurdhvadehika Śrāddha and the Donation-Rite

सुदुष्कृतं कृतवती कुन्ती पुत्रानपश्यती । राज्यश्रियं परित्यज्य वनं सा समरोचयत्‌,'कुन्तीदेवीने तो बड़ा ही दुष्कर कर्म किया। अपने पुत्रोंके दर्शनसे वंचित हो राज्यलक्ष्मीको ठुकराकर उन्होंने वनमें रहना पसंद किया है

suduṣkṛtaṃ kṛtavatī kuntī putrān apaśyatī | rājyśriyaṃ parityajya vanaṃ sā samarocayat ||

Disse Vaiśampāyana: “Kuntī realizou um feito extremamente difícil. Privada da visão de seus filhos, renunciou ao esplendor da fortuna real e escolheu habitar na floresta—um ato de austera determinação e renúncia segundo o dharma após a guerra.”
