एवं स तपसा राजन धृतराष्ट्री महामना: । योजयामास चात्मान तांश्षाप्पनुचरांस्तदा,राजन! इस प्रकार महामनस्वी राजा धुृतराष्ट्रने अपने-आपको तथा साथ आये हुए लोगोंको भी तपस्यामें लगा दिया

Transliteration

evaṁ sa tapasā rājan dhṛtarāṣṭrī mahāmanāḥ | yojayāmāsa cātmānaṁ tāṁś cāpy anucarāṁs tadā ||

Translation

Assim, ó Rei, o magnânimo Dhṛtarāṣṭra aplicou-se à austeridade; e, então, também engajou na mesma disciplina os atendentes que haviam vindo com ele.
