Even in strained family and political circumstances, dharmic action proceeds through proper channels—seeking counsel, using a righteous mediator (Vidura), and approaching the rightful authority (Yudhiṣṭhira) with restraint rather than coercion.
After night ends and morning arrives, Dhṛtarāṣṭra dispatches Vidura to Yudhiṣṭhira’s residence, setting up the next events in which requests and tensions around resources and duty will be negotiated.
