Chatra–Upānah Dāna: Origin Narrative
Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda
प्रययुस्ते ततो भूयस्तीर्थानि वनगोचरा: । पुण्येषु तीर्थेषु तथा गात्राण्याप्लावयन्त ते
prayayus te tato bhūyas tīrthāni vanagocarāḥ | puṇyeṣu tīrtheṣu tathā gātrāṇy āplāvayanta te ||
Então aqueles peregrinos que habitavam as florestas partiram mais uma vez rumo aos tīrtha, os vados sagrados. Indo de um lugar santo a outro, mergulhavam o corpo nas águas e se banhavam—renovando-se pela peregrinação e pela purificação.
