Austerity, regulated fasting, residual-eating, and hospitality
अक्रोधना हाचपला: क्षान्ता दान्ता जितेन्द्रिया: । सर्वभूतहिता ये च श्राद्धेष्वेतान् निमन्त्रयेत्
akrodhanā hācapalāḥ kṣāntā dāntā jitendriyāḥ | sarvabhūtahitā ye ca śrāddheṣv etān nimantrayet ||
Bhīṣma disse: Nos ritos de śrāddha, deve-se convidar aqueles que estão livres da ira, não são inconstantes, são pacientes, comedidos, senhores de seus sentidos e devotados ao bem-estar de todos os seres.
