Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala
The verse highlights dharmic restraint: immense power (tejas) should be consciously governed, yet even controlled force can have consequences; therefore one must act with responsibility and awareness of spillover effects.
Bhishma narrates that Rudra checked his incomparable potency, but a small portion nevertheless escaped and fell upon the earth, indicating a tangible manifestation of divine energy in the world.
