Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)

नेदं धारयितुं शक्ता: समस्ता इति मे मतिः । तेज:प्रभावनिर्दग्धं॑ तस्मात्‌ सर्वमिदं जगत्‌

nedaṃ dhārayituṃ śaktāḥ samastā iti me matiḥ | tejaḥprabhāvanirdagdhaṃ tasmāt sarvam idaṃ jagat ||

Bhishma disse: “Em meu juízo, mesmo todos juntos não são capazes de suportar este (teu) fulgor. Por isso, este mundo inteiro seria chamuscado e reduzido a cinzas pelo poder ardente desse esplendor.”
