शास्त्रप्रामाण्यसूक्ष्मं तु विधिं पिण्डस्य संस्मरन्‌ | ततो दर्भेषु तत्‌ सर्वमदर्द भरतर्षभ

Transliteration

śāstraprāmāṇyasūkṣmaṃ tu vidhiṃ piṇḍasya saṃsmaran | tato darbheṣu tat sarvam adarda bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

Bhīṣma disse: “Tendo em mente o procedimento sutil, autorizado pela escritura, para a oferenda do piṇḍa, não cedi ao que se apresentava diretamente diante de mim. Tomando o śāstra como única autoridade decisiva, ó touro entre os Bharatas, ofereci todos os piṇḍas sobre a relva darbha, conforme o rito prescrito.”
