गोप्रदानरतो याति भित्त्वा जलदसंचयान् | विमानेनार्कवर्णेन दिवि राजन् विराजते
gopradānarato yāti bhittvā jaladasaṃcayān | vimānenārkavarṇena divi rājan virājate ||
Vasiṣṭha disse: Ó Rei, aquele que, com ardor do coração, se dedica ao dom de vacas rompe as massas de nuvens; sentado num vimāna da cor do sol, vai ao céu e ali resplandece em glória.
वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse teaches that go-dāna (the gift of cows), performed with sincere devotion, is a powerful dharmic charity that yields great spiritual merit, culminating in honored, radiant attainment in heaven.
Vasiṣṭha addresses a king and describes the posthumous reward of a devoted cow-giver: the donor ascends in a sun-bright vimāna, passes beyond the cloud-masses, reaches heaven, and shines there—an image meant to inspire ethical generosity.
