vaiśampāyana uvāca: bhīṣmasyaitad vacaḥ śrutvā vismitāḥ kurupuṅgavāḥ | āsan prahṛṣṭamanasaḥ prītimanto 'bhavaṃs tadā ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Ao ouvirem essas palavras de Bhīṣma, os mais eminentes da linhagem dos Kuru ficaram tomados de assombro. Seus corações encheram-se de jubilosa exaltação, e naquele momento todos se sentiram profundamente satisfeitos.
