Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
तस्या: क्षेत्रविशेषाश्व॒ तडागानां च बन्धनम् । औदकानि च सर्वाणि प्रवक्ष्याम्यनुपूर्वश:,उस भूमिसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाले विशेष-विशेष क्षेत्र, उनमें पोखरोंके निर्माण तथा अन्य सब जलाशय--कूप आदि--इन सबके विषयमें मैं क्रमशः: आवश्यक बातें बताऊँगा
tasyāḥ kṣetraviśeṣāś ca taḍāgānāṃ ca bandhanam | audakāni ca sarvāṇi pravakṣyāmy anupūrvaśaḥ ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Explicarei agora, na devida ordem, as várias espécies de terras e seus campos específicos, a construção e o aterro/diques dos tanques, e todas as demais obras de água—poços e semelhantes—expondo o que é necessário saber.”
