तिलान्‌ ददत पानीयं दीपान्‌ ददत जाग्रत । ज्ञातिभि: सह मोदध्वमेतत्‌ प्रेत्य सुदुर्लभम्‌

Transliteration

tilān dadat pānīyaṃ dīpān dadat jāgrata | jñātibhiḥ saha modadhvam etat pretya sudurlabham ||

Translation

Bhishma disse: Doai sementes de gergelim; doai água para beber; doai lamparinas. Mantende-vos vigilantes e despertos para os vossos deveres. Alegrai-vos com os vossos parentes—tal oportunidade de harmonia é extremamente difícil de obter depois de se deixar este mundo.
