कुशिक उवाच यदि प्रीतोडसि भगवंस्ततो मे वद भार्गव | कारणं श्रोतुमिच्छामि मद्गृहे वासकारितम्‌,कुशिकने कहा--भगवन्‌! भृगुनन्दन! यदि आप मुझपर प्रसन्न हों तो मुझे यह बताइये कि आपने इतने दिनोंतक मेरे घरपर क्‍यों निवास किया था? मैं इसका कारण सुनना चाहता हूँ

Transliteration

Kuśika uvāca: yadi prīto ’si bhagavaṁs tato me vada Bhārgava | kāraṇaṁ śrotum icchāmi mad-gṛhe vāsa-kāritam ||

Translation

Kuśika disse: “Ó venerável, ó Bhārgava! Se estás satisfeito comigo, então dize-me: por que razão dispuseste morar em minha casa por tantos dias? Desejo ouvir a causa.”
