Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas
The verse teaches that devotional and ethical engagement with cows—praising them, hearing such praise, donating them, and even taking their auspicious sight—is considered highly meritorious and is said to remove sin and promote spiritual welfare.
A speaker addresses a king/hero and, in the didactic tone typical of the Anuśāsana Parva, enumerates scripturally praised practices connected with cows, presenting them as powerful means of purification and auspiciousness.
