स्वभावश्चैव नारीणां नराणामिह दूषणम् | अत्यर्थ न प्रसज्जन्ते प्रमदासु विपक्चित:,इस जगतमें मनुष्योंको कलंकित कर देना नारियोंका स्वभाव है; अतः विवेकी पुरुष युवती स्त्रियोंमें अधिक आसक्त नहीं होते हैं
svabhāvaś caiva nārīṇāṁ narāṇām iha dūṣaṇam | atyarthaṁ na prasajjante pramadāsu vipakṣitaḥ ||
Bhīṣma disse: É da tendência natural das mulheres, neste mundo, tornarem-se causa pela qual os homens caem em descrédito. Por isso, os homens discernentes não se apegam em demasia às mulheres jovens.
