'फिर अपने दोनों नेत्रोंको उन्होंने उसके नेत्रोंकी ओर लगाया और अपने नेत्रोंकी किरणोंको उसके नेत्रोंकी किरणोंके साथ जोड़ दिया। फिर उसी मार्गसे आकाशमें प्रविष्ट होनेवाली वायुकी भाँति रुचिके शरीरमें प्रवेश किया” ।।
lakṣaṇaṁ lakṣaṇenaiva vadanaṁ vadanena ca | aviceṣṭan na tiṣṭhad vai chāyevāntarhito muniḥ ||
Bhishma disse: “Fazendo corresponder sinal com sinal e boca com boca, ele entrou (no outro) sem qualquer movimento exterior e permaneceu perfeitamente imóvel. Naquele instante, o grande sábio Vipula, embora presente, parecia como se tivesse desaparecido—como uma sombra.”
