विपुलस्तु वच: श्रुत्वा गुरोश्विन्तामुपेयिवान्
vipulastu vacaḥ śrutvā guroś cintām upeyivān
Bhīṣma disse: Ao ouvir as extensas palavras de seu mestre, Vipula ficou profundamente apreensivo, refletindo sobre o que deveria ser feito conforme o dever (dharma).
भीष्म उवाच
A disciple should receive the guru’s instruction with seriousness and respond through careful ethical reflection (cintā), weighing duty and right conduct rather than acting impulsively.
Bhīṣma narrates that Vipula, after listening to his teacher’s detailed counsel, becomes concerned and contemplative—indicating an inner turn toward deciding the proper course aligned with dharma.
