Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)
अकृशो वायुभग्नाड्: शकुनिर्विकृतस्तथा । चतुष्पाद् बहुरूपश्च पुनर्भवति बालिश:
akṛśo vāyubhagnāṅgaḥ śakunir vikṛtas tathā | catuṣpād bahurūpaś ca punar bhavati bāliśaḥ ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Em nascimentos repetidos, uma pessoa pode aparecer em muitas condições alteradas—às vezes magra, às vezes com o corpo quebrantado por distúrbios do vento (vāta), às vezes como ave, às vezes com aparência deformada. De novo pode tornar-se uma besta de quatro patas, ou alguém de muitas formas, ou até um tolo de entendimento embotado.”
