Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
दर्शनात् स्पर्शनात् पानात् तथा गड़्ेति कीर्तनात् । पुनात्यपुण्यान् पुरुषान शतशो5थ सहस्रश:,गंगाजी अपने दर्शन, स्पर्श, जलपान तथा अपने गंगानामके कीर्तनसे सैकड़ों और हजारों पापियोंको तार देती हैं
darśanāt sparśanāt pānāt tathā gaṅgeti kīrtanāt | punāty apuṇyān puruṣān śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ||
Disse o Siddha: Apenas ao contemplá-la, tocá-la, beber suas águas e, do mesmo modo, entoar o seu nome como “Gaṅgā”, ela purifica homens pecadores — às centenas e até aos milhares.
