Gaṅgā-māhātmya: Siddha–Śilavṛtti-saṃvāda and Gaṅgā-stava (गङ्गामाहात्म्यं—सिद्ध-शिलवृत्ति-संवादः)
यः प्रवृत्तां श्रुतिं सम्यक् शास्त्र वा मुनिभि: कृतम् । दूषयत्यनभिज्ञाय त॑ विद्याद् ब्रह्मघातिनम्
yaḥ pravṛttāṃ śrutiṃ samyak śāstraṃ vā munibhiḥ kṛtam | dūṣayaty anabhijñāya taṃ vidyād brahmaghātinam ||
Bhishma disse: “Quem, sem verdadeiro entendimento, difama a śruti autorizada —a revelação védica que prescreve a ação correta— ou os śāstra compostos pelos sábios, deve ser considerado um matador de Brahman, pois comete uma grave ofensa espiritual ao minar os fundamentos do dharma.”
