कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
Vāyudeva disse: “Kalās, kāṣṭhās, lavas, mātrās, muhūrtas, dias e noites, e kṣaṇas — estas são as medidas e divisões do Tempo. Ele é o suporte do universo, como o solo de uma árvore cósmica; é a causa-semente de todos os seres; é o sinal sutil (liṅga) pelo qual se infere o não manifesto; e é o primeiro a emergir na criação.”
