The verse underscores that righteous instruction and steadfast dharma earn affirmation not only from humans but symbolically from the cosmic order: sages and perfected beings rejoice, and divine signs (drums, flower-rain) mark moral approval of Bhīṣma’s discourse.
After Bhīṣma’s words (in the Anuśāsana Parva’s instructional setting), celestial beings—Siddhas and Brahmarṣis—exclaim ‘sādhu, sādhu’; the gods’ drums sound and heavenly flowers rain down, as they praise Bhīṣma.
