Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvā kurūn sarvān bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavas tadā | tṛṣṇīṁ babhūva kauravyaḥ sa muhūrtam arindama ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: Tendo assim falado a todos os Kurus, Bhīṣma, filho de Śantanu, calou-se. Ó subjugador de inimigos, o Kaurava permaneceu em silêncio por algum tempo—uma pausa que assinalava o peso de seu derradeiro conselho e a solene aproximação de sua partida.
