उषित्वा शर्वरी: श्रीमान् पञ्चाशन्नगरोत्तमे । समयं कौरवाग्रयस्य सस्मार पुरुषर्षभ:
uṣitvā śarvarīḥ śrīmān pañcāśan nagarottame | samayaṃ kauravāgryasya sasmāra puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||
Depois de passar cinquenta noites naquela excelente cidade, Yudhiṣṭhira, ilustre touro entre os homens, recordou o tempo marcado que Bhīṣma, o mais eminente dos Kauravas, lhe havia indicado—sinal de sua resolução conscienciosa de agir conforme a instrução do ancião e às exigências do dharma.
वैशम्पायन उवाच

After residing for fifty nights in an excellent city, Yudhiṣṭhira recalls the time fixed by Bhīṣma (the foremost Kaurava), indicating that he is preparing to proceed according to Bhīṣma’s earlier instruction.
