नक्षत्राण्यृतवश्चैव मासा: पक्षा: सवत्सरा: | वैनतेया: समुद्राश्च॒ कद्रुजा: पन्नगास्तथा
nakṣatrāṇy ṛtavaś caiva māsāḥ pakṣāḥ savatsarāḥ | vainateyāḥ samudrāś ca kadrujāḥ pannagās tathā ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Que as constelações e as estações, os meses e as quinzenas, juntamente com o ciclo dos anos; que Garuḍa, filho de Vinatā, e os oceanos; e que as serpentes nascidas de Kadru—que tudo isso nos ampare e nos proteja.”
