कृतयत्नाफलाश्रैव दृश्यन्ते शतशो नरा: । अयत्नेनैधमानाश्र दृश्यन्ते बहवो जना:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | kṛtayatnāphalāś caiva dṛśyante śataśo narāḥ | ayatnenaiva dhanaṃ yeṣāṃ dṛśyante bahavo janāḥ ||
Disse Yudhiṣṭhira: “Vêem-se às centenas homens cujos esforços não dão fruto—apesar de se empenharem, não alcançam o que buscam. E também se veem muitos outros cuja riqueza cresce dia após dia mesmo sem esforço.”
