ज्ञानपूर्वकृतं कर्म च्छादयन्ते हासाधव: । ज्ञानपूर्व विनश्यन्ति गूहमाना महाजने
jñānapūrvakṛtaṃ karma cchādayante hāsādhavaḥ | jñānapūrvaṃ vinaśyanti gūhamānā mahājane ||
Bhīṣma disse: Os perversos tentam ocultar até mesmo os atos pecaminosos que cometeram conscientemente. Contudo, ao procurar manter o malfeito em segredo na presença dos grandes e perspicazes, acabam arruinados — pois a culpa, deliberadamente encoberta, os destrói.
