गुरुभ्यस्त्वासनं देयमभिवाद्याभिपूज्य च । गुरुम भ्यर्च्य वर्धन्ते आयुषा यशसा श्रिया
gurubhyas tv āsanaṁ deyam abhivādya abhipūjya ca | gurūn abhyarcya vardhante āyuṣā yaśasā śriyā ||
Bhīṣma disse: Depois de se inclinar diante dos mestres e honrá-los com a devida reverência, deve-se oferecer-lhes um assento. Ao servir o guru com veneração, aumentam a longevidade, a boa fama e a prosperidade de uma pessoa—assim, a recepção respeitosa torna-se uma prática concreta do dharma.
