Ouve enquanto agora o declaro.”
The verse emphasizes disciplined daily practice: rising at dawn, restraining mind and senses, and approaching sacred recitation with reverence. Ethical strength is presented as rooted in self-control and devotional routine.
Vāyu addresses a ruler (“lord of the people”) and announces that he will relate the Śatarudrīya which he regularly recites each morning with joined palms, setting up an instruction or transmission of a sacred hymn.
