मदस्यास्यमनुप्राप्ता यदा सेन्द्रा दिवौकस: । तदैव च्यवनेनेह हृता तेषां वसुन्धरा

madasyāsyam anuprāptā yadā sendrā divaukasaḥ | tadaiva cyavaneneha hṛtā teṣāṃ vasundharā ||

Bhishma disse: “Quando os deuses, com Indra à frente, caíram na boca de Mada (Intoxicação/Orgulho), naquele mesmo instante o sábio Cyavana, aqui, privou-os do seu domínio sobre a terra.”
