अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
Disse Cyavana: “Bebamos o Soma juntamente com os Aśvins, livres de toda febre e aflição.” No enredo ao redor, os deuses—alarmados com as consequências de se oporem ao sábio—deliberaram entre si e disseram a Indra: “Ó rei dos deuses! Inclina-te diante do brâmane excelso, Cyavana (não é bom enfrentá-lo). Assim poderemos beber o Soma em segurança, junto com os gêmeos Aśvin.”
