ममैषा सुप्रिया भार्या नैनामुत्स्रष्टमुत्सहे । “नारदजीके मुखसे उतथ्यकी यह बात सुनकर वरुणने उनसे कहा--“यह मेरी अत्यन्त प्यारी भार्या है। मैं इसे छोड़ नहीं सकता”

Transliteration

mama eṣā supriyā bhāryā nainām utsraṣṭum utsahe |

Translation

Varuṇa respondeu, ao ouvir o pedido: “Ela é minha esposa extremamente amada; não tenho ânimo para abandoná-la.” A frase ressalta a tensão moral entre atender à exigência de outrem e honrar o próprio vínculo e dever conjugal.
