दण्डकानां महदू राज्यं ब्राह्मणेन विनाशितम् । तालजंघं महाक्षत्रमौर्वेगेकेन नाशितम्
daṇḍakānāṁ mahad rājyaṁ brāhmaṇena vināśitam | tālajaṅghaṁ mahākṣatram aurvegekena nāśitam ||
Arjuna disse: “O grande reino dos Daṇḍakas foi destruído por um único brâmane; e a poderosa linhagem kṣatriya chamada Tālajaṅgha foi aniquilada pelo sábio Aurva, sozinho.” A afirmação traz um aviso moral: poder e linhagem não protegem quem incorre na ira nascida da força ascética e da justa indignação; o adharma pode trazer ruína até mesmo por meio de uma só pessoa espiritualmente potente.
