प्रभावश्चर्षिपूगस्य कथित: सुमहान्‌ मया । महेश्वरस्य संवादं शैलपुत्र्याश्न भारत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | prabhāvaś cārṣipūgasya kathitaḥ sumahān mayā | maheśvarasya saṃvādaṃ śailaputryāś ca bhārata ||

Translation

Bhishma disse: “Ó Bharata, descrevi a imensa força espiritual e a influência da multidão de rishis. Também narrei o diálogo de Maheshvara (Shiva) com a Filha da Montanha (Uma) — uma troca sagrada tida como exemplo de ética e devoção.”
