Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
जयो योगी युगान्ताभ: सव्यसाची रणाग्रग: । तेजसा हतवान् सर्व सुयोधनबलं नूप
bhīṣma uvāca | jayo yogī yugāntābhaḥ savyasācī raṇāgragaḥ | tejasā hatavān sarvaṃ suyodhanabalaṃ nṛpa |
Bhishma disse: “Arjuna é vitorioso — dotado de maestria ióguica, ardendo como o fogo no fim de uma era. Ele é Savyasācin, capaz de disparar flechas também com a mão esquerda, e permanece na dianteira do campo de batalha. Ó rei, pela força do seu próprio fulgor e valor, ele destruiu por completo o exército de Suyodhana (Duryodhana).”
