Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
दैतेया दानवेन्द्राश्ष महाकाया महाबला: । चक्राग्नौ क्षयमापन्ना दावाग्नौ शलभा इव
daiteyā dānavendrāś ca mahākāyā mahābalāḥ | cakrāgnau kṣayam āpannā dāvāgnau śalabhā iva ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Muitos poderosos Daityas e os mais eminentes Dānavas — de corpo enorme e grande força — encontraram a destruição no ardente fogo do disco de Kṛṣṇa, como mariposas consumidas por um incêndio na floresta.”
