nārada uvāca | evam uktvā mahādevaḥ śrotukāmaḥ svayaṃ prabhuḥ | anukūlāṃ priyāṃ bhāryāṃ pārśvasthāṃ samabhāṣata ||
Nārada disse: “Tendo falado assim, Mahādeva—embora ele próprio seja o Senhor soberano—tornou-se desejoso de ouvir. Por isso dirigiu-se à sua amada e afável esposa Pārvatī, sentada bem perto, convidando-a a falar.”
