Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets
śrīmaheśvara uvāca | yastu kṣatragato devi mayā dharma udīritaḥ | tam ahaṃ te pravakṣyāmi tan me śṛṇu samāhitā ||
Ouve-me com a mente firme e recolhida.”
The verse frames a didactic moment: Śiva signals a structured exposition of kṣatriya-dharma and emphasizes the ethical requirement of attentive, composed listening as a prerequisite for receiving dharma-teaching.
In a dialogue between Śrī Maheśvara and the Devī, the speaker transitions from having stated kṣatriya-dharma in brief to promising a clearer, fuller explanation, inviting the Devī to listen with focused concentration.
