दत्त्वा तु सततं ते5स्तु कौरवाणां धुरन्धर | दानयज्ञक्रियायुक्ता बुद्धिर्धमोपचायिनी,कौरवधुरंधर! तुम भी सदा दान करते रहो। तुम्हारी बुद्धि दान और यज्ञकी क्रियामें संलग्न हो धर्मकी उन्नति करती रहे
dattvā tu satataṃ te 'stu kauravāṇāṃ dhurandhara | dānayajñakriyāyuktā buddhir dharmopacāyinī ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Ó principal sustentáculo do fardo dos Kauravas, que sejas alguém que dá continuamente. Que teu entendimento permaneça dedicado aos atos de caridade e de sacrifício, sempre promovendo o crescimento do dharma.”
