Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
शूरं बलवतां श्रेष्ठ कान्तरूपमकल्मषम् | आत्मतुल्यं मम सुतं प्रयच्छाच्युत माचिरम्
śūraṃ balavatāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ kāntarūpam akalmaṣam | ātmatulyaṃ mama sutaṃ prayacchācyuta māciram ||
Vāsudeva disse: “Ó Acyuta, concede-me sem demora um filho que seja meu igual — heroico, o primeiro entre os fortes, agradável em forma e beleza, e livre de toda mancha. Que não haja adiamento nisso.”
