Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अपि कीट: पतड़्जो वा भवेयं शड्कराज्ञया । न तु शक्र त्वया दत्त त्रलोक्यमपि कामये
api kīṭaḥ pataṅgo vā bhaveyaṃ śaṅkarājñayā | na tu śakra tvayā dattaṃ trailokyam api kāmaye ||
Disse Vāsudeva: “Pela ordem de Śaṅkara eu poderia tornar-me até um verme ou uma mariposa; mas, ó Śakra, não desejo sequer a soberania dos três mundos se for concedida por ti. Qualquer estado que Mahādeva determine—mesmo o mais baixo—eu o contarei como a mais alta realização; porém não anseio aceitar o domínio sobre os deuses de ninguém além dele.”
