Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
यक्षराक्षससर्पाणां दैत्यदानवयोरपि । वपुर्धारयते देवो भूयश्व विलवासिनाम्
yakṣarākṣasasarpaṇāṁ daityadānavayor api | vapur dhārayate devo bhūyaś ca bilavāsinām ||
Vāsudeva disse: “O Senhor divino assume formas até entre yakṣas, rākṣasas e serpentes, e igualmente entre daityas e dānavas; e, repetidas vezes, toma também os corpos daqueles que habitam os reinos subterrâneos.”
