Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
नराणां देवनारीणां तथा प्रेतपिशाचयो: । किरातशबराणां च जलजानामनेकश:
narāṇāṁ devanārīṇāṁ tathā pretapiśācayoḥ | kirātaśabarāṇāṁ ca jalajānām anekaśaḥ ||
Vāsudeva disse: “Entre os seres humanos, entre as mulheres celestes, e do mesmo modo entre os pretas e os piśācas; entre os Kirātas e os Śabaras também; e entre as muitas espécies de criaturas nascidas nas águas—(este princípio se vê em toda parte).”
