पापात् प्रवर्धतो दृष्टया कल्याणानावसीदत: । ध्रुवं गर्हयसे नित्यं तेनासि हरिण: कृश:
pāpāt pravardhato dṛṣṭvā kalyāṇān avasīdataḥ | dhruvaṃ garhayase nityaṃ tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
“Vendo o pecado crescer e vendo homens virtuosos—empenhados em obras benéficas—serem rebaixados e levados a sofrer, tu certamente condenas esse estado de coisas repetidas vezes. Essa censura constante, guardada no íntimo, te consumiu; por isso estás magro e pálido como um cervo.”
