दिवं हंसप्रयुक्तेन विमानेन स गच्छति । शतं वर्षसहसत्राणां मोदते स दिवि प्रभो
divaṁ haṁsaprayuktena vimānena sa gacchati | śataṁ varṣasahasrāṇāṁ modate sa divi prabho ||
Disse Aṅgiras: “Ele parte para o céu num carro celeste (vimāna) puxado por cisnes e, ali, ó senhor, deleita-se no céu por cem mil anos.” O verso apresenta a lógica ética da retribuição kármica: a conduta meritória produz elevadas conquistas após a morte e prolongado gozo celeste.
अंगियरा उवाच
The verse underscores karmic fruition: righteous or meritorious action leads to elevated posthumous results—symbolized by ascent to heaven in a celestial vimāna—and sustained enjoyment there for an immense duration.
Aṅgiras describes the destiny of a meritorious person: he is conveyed to heaven in a swan-drawn celestial chariot and experiences heavenly delight for ‘a hundred thousand years,’ emphasizing the grandeur of the reward.
