उपवासफलात्मकविधिः — Upavāsa as Yajña-Equivalent Merit

वीणानां वल्लकीनां च वेणूनां च विशाम्पते । सुघोषैर्मधुरै: शब्द: सुप्त: स प्रतिबोध्यते
vīṇānāṁ vallakīnām ca veṇūnāṁ ca viśāmpate | sughoṣair madhuraiḥ śabdaḥ suptaḥ sa pratibodhyate prajānātha ||
Aṅgiras disse: “Ó senhor do povo, ó governante dos homens—pelos sons doces e melodiosos e pelas agradáveis ressonâncias das vīṇās, das vallakīs e das flautas, aquele que dorme é despertado com brandura.”
