आचारो भूतिजनन आचार: कीर्तिवर्धन: । आचाराद् वर्धते ह्यायुराचारो हन्त्यलक्षणम्
ācāro bhūtijanana ācāraḥ kīrtivardhanaḥ | ācārād vardhate hy āyur ācāro hanti alakṣaṇam ||
Bhishma disse: “A boa conduta é a fonte do bem-estar, e a boa conduta aumenta a fama. Da boa conduta, de fato, cresce a duração da vida; e a boa conduta destrói sinais e tendências inauspiciosas.”
