तत्र यत्प्राप्तकालं नस्तद् ब्रूहि वदतां वर | भवांश्वापि यथा ब्रूयात् तत्कर्तास्मिन संशय:
tatra yatprāptakālaṃ nas tad brūhi vadatāṃ vara | bhavāṃś cāpi yathā brūyāt tatkartāsmin saṃśayaḥ ||
Portanto, dize-nos o que é oportuno e adequado fazer agora, ó o melhor entre os que falam. Aquilo que tu mesmo aconselharias numa situação assim—faz isso; quanto a este ponto, não há dúvida.
अगस्त्य उवाच
The verse emphasizes acting according to prāpta-kāla—what is timely and context-appropriate—and trusting the guidance of a recognized wise authority when uncertainty arises.
Agastya is addressed as an authoritative counselor: the speaker requests him to state what should be done at the present moment and affirms that whatever Agastya would recommend should be carried out without doubt.
